CloudSense People

Spotlight on Goran Posilovic

October 10, 2017

Here’s our latest ‘Spotlight on’, a quick-fire round of Q&A where we get to meet the people who make CloudSense great.

It’s a fast, fun way to learn a little bit more about CloudSense’s people – from what makes them want to come to work every day – to the meal they’d pick before they met their maker on death row.

Today we get to know a man who has been here since the very beginning, Head of Project Management Practice, Goran Posilovic.

Name, Position & CloudSense Office:

Goran Posilovic, Head of Project Management Practice, Zagreb, Croatia

What do you do at CloudSense on a day to day basis?

A combination of project work, role-related activities and internal activities – just enough to make every day dynamic.

How long have you worked here?

7 years!

What was your background before joining?

During my student days, I was working as a developer on a few small projects and continued following the developer’s path when I joined CloudSense. I can confirm that it is greatly beneficial to be familiar with the dev world (at least to a certain extent), when wearing a Project Manager hat.

What’s your favorite thing about the CloudSense office?

The people and the opportunity to learn something new on a daily basis.

When was your best day at CloudSense and why?

There have been many great days, but I believe that the best one is yet to come.

Describe a ‘CloudSense person’ in 3 words…

Proactive, creative, collaborative.

What makes you want to come to work every day?

Again, the people. My colleagues create an enjoyable and creative working atmosphere.

If you could switch jobs with anyone else at CloudSense, whose job would you have?

With anyone who is currently on annual leave…

Where do you see CloudSense in 5 years’ time?

Dominating the Salesforce world by having highly motivated and trained individuals across number of new offices (Hawaiian office included, it’s about time).

Where’s your hometown?

Zagreb, Croatia.

Where’s your favorite place in the world?

I’m still looking for the ultimate one since there are so many enjoyable places to visit.

What’s your favorite book?

Unfortunately, I do not read as much as I would like to (staring at the screen whole day has something to do with it…). However, I will always get lost in a good book related to music affecting our cognitive, emotional and physical health (e.g. This is your brain on music).

Also, Stephen King’s classics are always more than welcome.

And favorite film?

This, for me, is probably the most difficult question here. Out of the 2500+ movies I have watched and rated, I’d most likely go with some of the classics: Godfather trilogy, Blade Runner, The Exorcist, Fight Club, Raging Bull, Big Fish, Before Sunrise…

Also, I need to mention Peaky Blinders (I’m eagerly waiting for the season 4 to be aired!).

What would be your desert island DVD box set?

The Office (US version, sorry…) and Peaky Blinders.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Maybe board games? I don’t know – I don’t actually feel guilty about it!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Slowing down time… Or, at least, being able to fully function without sleeping.

What would your death row meal be?

Rather than a meal I would have a drink, Aberfeldy’s 18 year old whisky.

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?

Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Brian Fallon, Darko Rundek and my significant other. Most likely it would be a whisky tasting party rather than the dinner party.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Tom Hardy, of course!

If you were guaranteed to be successful in a different profession, what would you do?

I would spend more time with my family and friends (since the work related success is guaranteed anyway…)
